I'm looking to build an mITX rig and would love to get recommendations.


General purpose is for gaming - will a stand alone GPU be a must?

Size wise, I'd like it to be as small as possible.
Budget of 850 is just for the rig. No need monitor/os/mouse/keyboard.

If you are looking for space savings, SG05 is a much tinier case and can fit the 7850 inside. It is 10.5L in volume and has a small footprint.

If you intend to get mATX and not mITX, the SG02 is a case with compromises on all sides.

It has poor, tacky design. Silly 80mm fan mounts. A very odd stance and large footprint. And lastly, it is pretty big for a SFF case at 23L.

The biggest fault of all is the 80mm fan mounts. You'll end up with a noisy computer with poor airflow as there aren't many silent 80mm fans.

I had considered buying this case before, but had second thoughts on viewing the case in person. It will surprise you how bulky the thing is in real life.

Unless you intend to put this in a very deep shelving unit (40cm) or you want to utilize the space above the computer, it'll end up a detriment to overall desk space.

Coolermaster elite 130 - Personally like this case very much.

Lianli got some interesting itx cases as well, but is on the more expensive side.

If you plan for an itx build, I'd suggest going for modular psu, it will make your build much easier and tidier. The cheapest semi modular psu I know of is the Thermaltake Smart SE 530W/630W @$70 and $80.

I didn't go SFF that round, that is if you consider a mATX non-SFF. I got the Antec P180 mini.

Q08 can support cards up to 30cm/ 11.8 inches. I think only dual gpu cards are problematic and those with the PCI-E power sockets at the back of the card.
