just port to other lowest postpaid SH or ST
u confirm M1 got the $20 downgrade charge?
coz after 24 months contract, u are not binded to anything, so i believe u should be able to downgrade without charge.
I using singtel mobile downgrade before no charge...

And comes with more jia lat experience than M1.
SH - Lousy 3G / 4G network that really very hard to consume data properly
ST - Bill shock. Bill cap is at $188 as excess data is charged $10.70 per GB VS $5.35 and $6.42 for M1 / SH respectively.
Bill cap from the M1 / SH also never exceed $100 for excess data
Downgrade then need to pay.Change of Bill Plan $20
Ridiculous. Jumping ship in a few months.
Downgrade then need to pay.
Lateral change or upgrade plan no need to.
It's the SAME for all the Big Three.

They may not, but they do charge $10.70 admin charge even when just recontracting on the same plan (or lateral change) for non-Circle customers.Plans after expired contract for Singtel does not have the downgrade charge iirc...

Oh, I forgot about it, you can call in to M1 to ask for the waiver when the next bill arrives if you're actually recontracting your 2 year handset plan.
SingTel's clause don't allow that to happen.

Hmm. I don't think the charge applies for singtel even if recontracting on same plan or downgrade after 24months contract. I have been recontracting on the same plan until recently switched to CIS.
I'm non circle BTW.

The picture and it's article speaks for itself.

As i said before, can also call in to waive when the next bill arrives too, especially for 2 year handset contracts. Even the M1 Shop says that, so likelihood is very high.right... after scanning through the mobile terms and conditions listed here, it seems like there are a few escape options such as:
1) recontract to higher tier plan
2) recontract through www.singtelshop.com
3) having singtel-uob card, prestige member, singtel circle subscriber etc..
So i guess singtel recontracting customers can easily recontract online to avoid it as far as possible..
However, M1 charges downgrade fee but singtel doesn't. The recontract fee kicks in only when one recontracts. if one decided to downgrade after contractual period and it will not incur any charge as long as theres no recontracting.
