Also want to know what are the places we can get 4G+ signal for M1.
Nationwide? Most places have both LTE B3+B7. B28 goes live next year and coverage will increase even more, be it 2CA (B28+B3 or B28+B7) or 3CA (B28+B3+B7), depending on the handset compatibility of course.

Don't think so. Been using both SH and M1. It seem most places, I cannot get 4G+ for M1. BTW, not many phone support B28 especially Xiaomi phone.

It's MIUI problem, not M1 network. In fact I've never seen 4G+ on M1 network through my Xiaomi at all. But my mum's ZenFone 3 Deluxe get 4G+ almost all the time (Interband CA B3+B7).

It's a well known problem for Xiaomi devices that cannot use B3+B7 for 2CA, even for flagships. Midrange and budget range no need to say also.

(This was done for Mi MIX 2 but till today even the Mi8 doesn't support B3+7 CA.)

But once B28 is live and your Xiaomi handset supports it together with Interband CA, you can get 2CA already. B28+B3 OR B28+B7.

That's why I chose the Mi Mix 2 over the Pocophone F1, giving up on the 600mAh extra battery & SD845, for a better build, NFC and much more LTE bands.

SH and M1 use different frequency band for 4G+. Seem that might be the case as same phone using SH sim card can operate with 4G+ but not M1. But same M1 sim on my old Samsung note 4 can register on 4G+!

StarHub 4G+ for Xiaomi devices is probably on the CA between FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE, both on 2600MHz spectrum. It owns the largest amount of spectrum for TDD-LTE 2600MHz, while M1 doesn't hold any.

Oh, rumors has it that StarHub also refarmed their WCDMA 2100MHz to operate on LTE as B1 too, compromising the 3G network performance to show their 4G peak speeds.

Samsung allows CA on B3+B7, same for Sony/ASUS/HTC and some other brands, unlike Xiaomi. That's why on M1 4G, you can receive the 4G+ signal.

Very good break down details.

Is the reception for m1 along NEL still bad these days? I thinking switching to m1 if it has improved.

How do you switch from 4G to 3G on android phone easily?

Band 28 is live yet?

Now big 3 have LTE band 3, 7, 8 correct?

Band 28 won’t be live for the foreseeable future anymore... Thanks to Indonesia and their flip flop on analogue TV shutdown.

SingTel, M1 and TPG have Band 8, not StarHub.
