I rather have 256gb storage, but 16gb ram is a must........From 8gb to 16gb ram speed improvement could be as much as 60% boost loading time.
256 storage is really limited. The user must be really disciplined to move out pictures, work stuff, or video to nas/external hdd.

If user sub to iCloud storage, then it’s auto
Or some ppl just don’t have much things

so really this “256 storage is really limited” is very much dependent on the user

it's a desktop pc with many usb ports. haha.. just permanently connect an external 1TB or 2TB ssd to it. 256GB internal storage can be used for apps or docs. images/videos can store externally.

I have Mac Mini M1 and MacBook Neo, both 8GB/256GB configuration.

Indeed 256GB SSD can be a major limitation if you use it as the main computer.

That being said, using cloud storage or USB SSDs can still be a work around.

Personally I use Google One storage plan (two 200 GB plans, total S$80 per year) to store photos using Google Photos. I also use a few USB SSDs and USB HDDs as well.

My intel mini was 128gb and I can survive with that. Now with 256gb I dunno how to consume all of it. Haha. Like most, all my photos are on multiple backup ssd and Google Photos.
