Mac book pro 15" cant start up

Hi,

My current mac book pro 15" bought in 2008 cant start up recently. Everybody said is the hard disk got problem. Anywhere I can get it done beside Apple Services Centre? I know cheap may not be good vice versa but if i can save a bit of money it will be good. Please recommend some good 3rd party repair shop that can help me to resolve this problem.

If its hard disk problem. Then just open up the MacBook yourself and swap it out. Just follow the instructions from here. Cheap fast and easy

consider replacing to SSD HDD ...
other misc data can be kept at external hdd

is there psu unit in macbook pro? my friend's macbook pro cant start at all cant even get to the loading screen
