I can attest to Hyper-V's and KVM's speed. Shut the power-saving functions off on the laptop and the VM flies. Definitely not native speed, but fast enough to forget that it's actually a virtual machine.

(Unfortunately, my Windows 10 virtual machine on KVM + QEMU locks up half the time for some strange reason. I suspect it has something to do with my custom-built kernel.)

Also OT here a bit, but I'm a bit disappointed to see you use the 'M$' term. :(

M$ is a classic abbreviation used all the way back since her monopoly. Very meaningful isn’t it? hahaha :)

Speaking about virtualization , I cant seem to get macOS running stable under proxmox. Windows server on the other hand works well except for the network driver randomly going bananas.

Buy a PC and don't get Asus ba. Microsoft Office is better on the PC than on the Mac.

Do most of your work on a Mac, and only Office inside a Windows OS running as a guest using Parallels Desktop hypervisor. Whose issue is it for making Office so badly designed in a Mac?

Versatile :) That is how I have been doing for years.
