Makes lots of sense if you're solely gonna use the Mac at home.

And I gotta say the MBA's battery life is pretty decent too (mine's the mid last year edition), I usually didn't have to bring the charger along to sch, unless I'm staying late for project meetings.

All in all, a decent and good purchase.

now macbook pro is slightly bigger and heavier and my waifu dont bling around..

The Pro has 8gb.....speed wise if open multiple chromes and wordprocessing no diff rite? sometimes she also encode movies to watch LOL.....

encoding is usually GPU work, floating points, parallel and hardware acceleration..... CPU is linear, integer work....

8GB is more than enough.....

Both just as light, with air just a bit lighter. Since gonna just use at home, if u don't mind the extra $200, just get the retina.
