Hi everyone

I have a 6-year old Macbook (white plastic) that is still working fine. Recently it couldn't charge when wired so I sent to repair in Australia (my daughter is using it then).

Now it can charge (after they replace something inside) but if we use it while charging, the macbook becomes very hot, so we let it charge first and use later.

What can I do to restore back? One thing i couldnt is to go back to Australia becos we arent going bk.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob

Time to change? It is common to get hot when it is under heavy load. Perhaps you can check the actual temperatures before being overly worried.

My best suggestion is to not repair it anymore and simply go for a newer mac be it a 2012 2013 model which shouldn't cost that much.

you can try authorised service providers like A-Labs or QCD

on which place you notice it is hot?
