For anyones used MacBook M1 with 8 GB or 16 GB Ram could you open these below 60 websites in Chrome ?

Would memory in activity monitor still green and Chrome stiill snappy ?

Not trying to be a ** but nobody knows until click in but maybe by then too late already~ Anyway hope you manage to find someone to assist you in this as im using a Mid 2013 MBP only.

To be honest, why need to open so many sites? You got 1 pair of eyes only. Just like olden days emperor. Have 3000 wives. How many times can u do a night? You call 10 of them in and you waste paying 2990 of them salary. You open 60+ webpages, you spend more time hunting for tabs than really surfing the page. Open 10 already so difficult to see. But again that’s me.

I agree also. Sometimes cannot understand how people manage so many open tabs... it will be so difficult to find

In my opinion, if an Intel based system can do it, I don’t see why the M1 Macs can’t. The thing here is likely how the OS is managing the memory load, and less of the hardware. If you do the same on say a Windows machine, you will probably find that 60 active Chrome tabs will require substantially more resources.

what’s wrong with testing a product’s functionality within reasonable limits esp when u really interested in buying

I won’t say cannot but I am thinking whether that is the kind of use case for MacBook Air. This is consumer version. Not like 16” MacBook Pro. When apple design the product, is opening 60 tabs in safari one of their own design requirement?

Will you run ur own MacBook Air under such a condition? If I want to test the drop test capabilities, does it mean I can go into apple store and drop their MacBook Air from the table?

well it may not be apple design requirement, but that does not mean users will use it the way apple designs it to be.

and by testing, if it is not satisfactory to the user, then it just means that product may not fit their needs.

and your other test cases are extremes.

materially different from just testing the software. you are now suggesting physical testing not software.
