get an SSD .. 128Gb is dirt cheap at $100-150, 256Gb is $200-240
All compatible w MBP
I just swapped out my 250Gb HDD, replaced w a 256Gb SSD on a Year 2010 MBP
Much faster
Just clone it & its a simple 1 for 1 swap out

is there any harddsik dimension sise that i should look out for?

It's standard 2.5 inch. You could also get an optical drive caddy (something like this link to add a secondary drive on top of your current HDD). Obviously you need to give up the optical drive (or get a USB optical drive enclosure).

Check the price list from HWZ, look for internal 2.5 inch drive or SSD. As to the brand, it's up to individual (seagate, WD) all the same to me.

Bring your mbp to slimlim square and ask the shop (for example fuwell). They will recommend and help you install the ram and hdd/sdd. You can test on the spot.
