I intend to replace my MacBook Pro's HDD with a Samsung 850 EVO SSD 1TB. Now, I need to transfer data from the HDD to the SSD.

I read from the website of Shirt-Pocket the following:

"Download Now! You can download SuperDuper! v2.9.1 right now and back up and clone your drives for free— forever!"

Is it really free to do the job? Any catch? Anyone who has download SuperDuper free for data transfer please share with me your experience. Thanks!

Before there was TimeMachine, SuperDuper was my go to app for setting up new Mac, SSD/HDD upgrades. Legit and free.

If you have a TimeMachine backup, why not use that instead?
