Hi, sorry if might be the wrong sub forum. Aware there's an apple clinic but hope to get some solution or advices here. I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012 A1278 non retina. Macbook have been experiencing this folder with question mark error upon startup. From what I assume this would be that the disk or system is not detected or corrupted.
Things that I have tried to do
Cloning the system to a Samsung 850 Evo
Reinstalling entire system
Ensuring Mainboard to SATA and SATA to SSD is tight
Replacing SATA cable (forgot part number but have replaced the original cable and it works, just that the same error is still around)
Anyone has got any idea that I have yet to try? MacBook Pro is already out of warranty iirc. TIA!
