Imho, non-Retina MBP will probably be killed soon. I don't know if Yosemite's successor will support it, but don't count on its continued support for very long.

definitely MBP Retina. MBP technology has been around for a long time and probably gonna end of line soon. MBP Retina will be future proof as well

I haven't loaded Yosemite on my non-retina MacBook Air but I'm guessing e system wide thinner Helvetica Neue font doesn't look that nice on non-retina. so moving forward u most likely wan2 get retina definitely.

if you can afford it, go for mbp retina. mbp has not been updated for quite sometime already.

The regular MBP will not be updated anymore except one version of the 13" for now, ultimately will be discontinued. If have to buy now definitely is the retina version.

Still using the regular MBP though, as 2010 still does not see any retina MBPs.
