thanks!

no idea why. maybe the one they gave me wasn't as good bah. or maybe is user problem i don't know how to remove lo. :(

I think 2 factors, the glue/sticky layer and heat. The sticky material may have been heat-fast onto the surface.

Woah that seems really bad. I haven't take out my palm protector yet but i bought it separately from Moshi. So it might be the brand they give, i see mostly they give is iWorld if i am not wrong.
didn't check although was told it's Moshi one, they told me it's the better one.

this is one reason why apple should open an official store here.

anyway i think there is no need for palm guard or anything unless you are using a watch.
mac are way easier to maintain as compared to other laptops.
definitely.

what brand are you using? i'm using Moshi and i hope it would be good. The sales staff trying to hardsell me an unknown brand but i refuse to get it even though its way much cheaper than the moshi brand. Since i've been using moshi on my 2008 pro and didnt give me any problems.
was told it's moshi.

Don't think there is any need for a palmguard bah. Unless of course you are the type that always snacks/eats while using your laptop. Then definitely need palmguard, keyboard guard, screen protector, casing, etc.
even so, i think it can be clean off pretty easily.

yeah could be. experience might differ though. my gf's mba bought from there also but she managed to peel off without lesser sticky residue than mine. still have, just alot lesser.

?? Been using my Palm Guard from Moshi for years. From my 2008 Macbook white to my 2011 Macbook Pro and now macbook Retina. Not a single one ever had a issue with it ? I don't see a issue reason being is the rubber bumpers on the screen that raises the screen from the palm area. Thus the palm guard will only cause the screen to be lifted a little more than usual. However i might be wrong.

I high recommend the palm guard cause you may never know when you wear a watch or a girlfriend with accessories come sliding their hands on your nice new retina macbook pro :s22:

Anyway macrumors has another tread and so far no one who has it on had an issue so far,

Hehe, thanks for the response. Got Moshi Palmguard from Funan Challenger over the weekend, anyone else looking for it can get it there. Plenty of stock there. :)

I hope it won't damage our rMBP... :)

I wrote in to Moshi Customer Service regarding about the memo from Apple and this is their reply:

Thank you for writing in.

Our PalmGuard has been tested in our labs for issues such as fit, scratching and feel. We understand that Apple has issued a warning against palmrest protectors in general, but rest assured the there should be no issues with the proper functioning of your Retina MacBook with the PalmGuard properly applied as they were specifically re-designed to accommodate the tighter tolerance.

If you are still unsure as to the protection of your screen, you could consider getting a screen protector, such as our iVisor Pro:
For MacBook Pro Retina 13" - moshi - purveyor of electronics fashion - Product - iVisor Pro for MacBook
For MacBook Pro Retina 15" - moshi - purveyor of electronics fashion - Product - iVisor Pro for MacBook

I hope this information helps but please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
