Macbook pro speaker crackling sound

when at >75% volume... the speaker will sound crackling...

read alot of ppl experience this problem...

my qns ish... if i replace the 3 left right sub speaker

can fix this problem? or it is eh design defect.. problem will return?

Had this issue with my macbook before, disassembled and found the sub speaker disintegrated.

Ordered all 3 speakers from ebay and once parts arrives, proceed to disassemble almost everything to do a general cleaning and also replace thermal paste.:D:D:D

Yes, it fixed the problem and speakers has been working fine since.

You'll have to check which model/series of macbook pro you having and search ebay worldwide for it. Get from those reputable sellers..;)

To check model/series and repair guide go fixit.com and Wikipedia.

ebay parts search here.

OMG! my mbp also having this problem...hey dolphin, r u gonna try replacing yourself?

Never had this problem on my mid 2010 MBP. Perhaps you could really get the speakers checked out in case as said, speakers spoilt. Else could be a wiring issue.

did u try using external speakers? after using external no crackling sound right?

yup use ear piece max volume no crackling sound

internal speaker only when >70% den have crackling sound

i just bought the speakers from an ebay seller.

Apple MacBook A1278 Subwoofer Left Right Speaker Set
total US$14.59

there is 1 more i saw which is slightly more expensive here
there is a step by step guide to replacing the speakers.

Where did you read that 'alot of ppl' are experiencing this problem? 20 dudes posting on a forum does not constitute the majority.
