MacBook Pro unable to boot

Hi all. Have some problem with my late 2011 15" MBP.

My Mac turns on, apple logo comes out and after that just stays at the grey screen.

Tried resetting pram already, to no avail.

Tried booting to recovery, but just get a black screen.

Tried booting to external OS X installer also get black screen.

Safe mode get grey screen as well.

Windows partition boot up, goes till the point where the windows 7 thing comes out. Then black screen too

Try reinstall using target disk mode, to no avail.

Hardware test ran, no problems even under extended test

Upon boot up, fans run like nobody's business. Super hot.

Got a feeling it's the graphics or logic board problem.

Any opinions from the bros over here? I know I need to bring down to service centre, just seeing if there's anything else I can try before going down, knowing it's gonna be a hefty repair without AppleCare. Can't afford it right now.

Might be the hard drive.
Do you have a spare hard drive you can swap out to test?

Booted it up from my iMac via target disk. No problem.

Your logic board might be dead, if the HDD still works on another computer via Target Disk.

Could be faulty HDD cable.

High chance logic board gone. Gonna be an expensive repair if it's just the graphics that gone case, still have to replace logic?

Yes, the GPU is soldered on the logic board, even if it has a discrete GPU and not an integrated one.

Bring it in to Apple and see if you can get a discount off a new model.

Pcpro gave a pretty good quote, shall head down their to replace the GPU instead

Just an update, fixed my MacBook, its back and working fine right now. Thumbs up for the service at PCPRO. Took one day to fix it, pretty fast IMO.
