Macbook Pro 13" Warranty

is it void by

1. Changing HDD to SSD
2.Changing 4GB to 8GB Ram
3. Replacing the DVD drive with caddy/hdd


My trackpad is not working properly, and I want to go for a warranty claim. Wanted to know, whether I need to restore to original condition for warranty?

were all these modifications DIY? if yes, the warranty is voided. even if u can restore it back to original condition, there might be a chance that they would not honour the warranty if they detect signs of tampering / unauthorised modification within the computer.

RAM is ok but Im not sure about changing hard disk & the DVD drive. Like B772ER mention, if you replace back to the original, they might close one eye.

upgrade HDD is only within warranty if it is done by AASP and with the corresponding receipt / job sheet.

Harddisk and ram is ok. Ever claim warranty on esvercentre. But if the fault is due to ram or harddisk that you change, then it not cover. DVD rom writer part of the main board and changing it will voild warranty.

your trackpad got nothin to do with yr hdd/rams
u juz send it in..
the technician will check for LOSS connection or he will reformat yr whole Mac
