Macs one stop centre still operate daily. But only from 0700 hrs to 6 pm. I went to renew mine last Sunday morning.
Check with you guys,
My passport reged w nmacs, sometime when I gg in 2nd custom, the jb custom officer didn't scan the nmacs inside my passport on the black machine and let me go through.
And I went into nmacs office explain and told me next time
Must ensure they must scan before I proceed in jb..
Anyone encounter this also? Is it ok to go in w/o scan and come back to sg?
I go in 10time sure got 6 to 7 time remind them to scan. But problem is When I coming back to sg they sure will scan the nmacs.
why macs when you got passport ah?
Don't need to chop passport also...MACS is faster, just scan and go
rm30 per renewal.... first time must bring 2 photos for registration, renewal dont need
I think now first time don't need photo too. they will use your passport photo. My friend just did it half year ago and was told no photo is required.
I have several questions regarding macs .pls help me out !
1. Can I use macs to clear Malaysia immigration at klia or penang airport or is macs only applicable for jb immigration ?
2.Does msia immigration department provide separate counter for macs holder or do I have to queue up like the rest .
I think MACs is only available at JB meant for transiting between Johor an SG. not for air travel. I am not sure whether there is any changes so far. Back in early Dec 2012, my in-law travel by coach to KL and took a Airasia back from LCCT. She got stuck at the airport due to clearance issue as officer told her she didn't clear custom and enter MY illegally because there was no entry on the database as she tried to explain to them about using MACs in JB. She was held up for some 30 minutes or so before finally being allowed to go.
Somehow, I find it strange that the MACs data base wasn't linked at all for plane travel.... strange????.. don't have any answer to this.
MAC is currently active in two checkpoints in Johore state only. The information is available at Portal Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia - Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS)
