Magic Trackpad [Faulty]

I purchased a Magic Trackpad from Challenger last Nov'13 and now power button is stuck (can't switch on/off). Went down to Apple Service Center and they found a slight scratch at the top right hand corner of it. Apple does not cover for warranty due to cosmetics damage. So what do I have to do with it now? Please advice, thanks.

Get a Case ID here, explain your situation. Mention that you're unable to turn on your Trackpad as the power button is faulty and see what's the advice they offer.
