Hi my employer just submitted make up pay on my behalf (for jan-feb reservist)

Looking at the breakdown of the make up pay on NS.sg, I have some questions

1. working days per month -
it seems that NS does not factor in public holidays? eg jan was stated as 23 days for the calculation, likewise feb is 20 days. should be 22 working days in jan and 18 in feb.

2. make up claim is my gross pay without deducting cpf? the pay i'll receive from SAF does not deduct my employee contribution. does that mean company will deduct away the respective amount from hr payroll that i will receive?

i just hope i receive the pay that is intended and do not have to go through trouble between contacting ns/company hr for dispute as it seems based on point 1 stated above alone, i might be shortchanged. first time having to deal with MUP so i'm a little confused.

also last question, since i'm receiving civilian income loss from mindef (aka technically there should be no difference in net pay received and cpf contributions) does that mean i'm not entitled to the serviceman pay based on my rank?

1. What talking u? What does not factor in public holidays? 23 days alrdy factor in arh, why still should be 22 working days?

2. cpf contribution is employer responsibility

they need to do the necessary deduction for employee portion

saf just pay u based on your gross pay

1) If you are a full timer, you will get a pay holiday and SAF will pay you for that day.

2) For CPF, there will be different calculation depending on how your HR do MUP and payroll. For example, your basic salary is $1K. Your net salary will be $800, employee CPF will be $200 & employer CPF will be $170. You go for 0.5 month ICT.

So if you HR submit $500 loss of income for you and SAF will pay you $500. Your company will pay you $500 that month which mean your net salary will be $400, employee CPF will be $100 and employer CPF will be $85.

This mean normally you have $1,170 (including both side CPF) but due to ICT, you will only have $1,085 (including both side CPF).

3) How your rank pay work? For example, your basic salary is $1K and your go ICT for 1 month. So if you HR submit $1K loss of income for you and SAF will pay you $1K. PTE rank pay is $560. So your break down shown by SAF will be $1K - $560 = $440. This mean SAF did give you your rank pay of $560 and your loss of income is only $440.

4) Show us detail information like your ICT period, you salary in breakdown and how much SAF give you so that we can advice you better.
