how about progressive glasses? is the waiting days will be long? thks

Didn't ask for progressive lenses but if it's not available stocks in house then it might take up to a week for the factory to fabricate it?

I'm here at Osaka Namba, saw 2 Jins shop here.
Got my specs from Owndays before I happen to browse this thread.

Owndays frame with lens promotion start from 4780 yen onwards.
I got an Oakley frame with lens 16,000. Upgrade to PC lens additional 3,000.
Free 2,000 voucher on next purchased.

SIL got a Rayban specs with PC lens 18,325 after voucher.

U r correct progressive Len need 1week
For me I ask for ultra thin 1.74 so fastest they custom for me from zoff is tue go n Thursday I collected it
Quite good and prompt

I went jins too but their frame nit suit me

Meguro quite good quality frame will try on my next trip

And this my first time make specs overseas and I love it for the competitive price and service too
Agreed SG optical is over priced and still sometimes don't offer good lens too and after collection sometimes incorrect too

Like my friend paid for paris miki with a Oakley in end don't find it suitable

I paid for mine zoff with 1.74 Len for $170 approx if I make in Sg owndays approx $300 ablest

Had my specs made in zoff. Lens and build quality is much better than most specs I gotten in SG.

If afraid of getting eye test over there, can get it checked locally, then just bring the info over Japan and make which is what I did. My ultra thin + high degrees (~1000) lens had to wait around 5 days to be done though

when my spectacles broke, i was hesitant to go to a spectacle shop as i felt my japanese wasn't strong enough; i went around without glasses (using one of the lens to see properly) for around 2 weeks before i went back to SG to make spectacles

so JINS etc can speak english; i will go to them next time when i need to make spectacles

i made my owndays specs in Akiba. 1/2 the price of what they selling here for the same frame. GF also made a pair, 2nd pair gets 50% off. And then they gave extra discount coupon for return visit.

(i actually saw the frames in Japan, then thought ok la, SG also can make, came back SG saw the price is double. So went back to Japan to make a few months later

SG prices really kns

Happens to saw my house neighborhood optic shop selling the Oakley milestone 2.0 specs with a $258 tagged price. Not sure does it include lens.

Japan Owndays with high index lens for the same model @16,000 ($195.38) tax free.
Top up 3,000 ($36.63) for PC Lens.

For those with high prescription it's a better deal as Jin's provide up to 1.67 high index iirc
In SG owndays only provide up to 1.6, have to pay $100 for 1.67
