Leny Yoro didn't play well last week against Everton & today against Crystal Palace. Last week he allowed Everton to score. Today he gave away a penalty. Maybe he needs to take a rest for the next 1 or 2 games.

Chelsea vs Arsenal
Those who want Arsenal to win the league will want Arsenal to beat Chelsea. This will make the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th positions more competitive. A win for Chelsea will have Chelsea thinking maybe there is a chance to win the league this season.

Man Utd is now 6th position, 4 points behind 2nd position Man City. Man Utd is 2 points behind 3rd position Chelsea.

So fast Fernandes able to have more assists than Paul Scholes. Paul Schole started as a youth player in Man Utd 1st team until he retired.

Adam Wharton will snub a move to Manchester United if Ruben Amorim's men fail to secure European qualification. United have made the England and Crystal Palace star one of their main transfer targets next summer.

Amorim believes the midfielder's quality on the ball makes him an ideal fit for the team he wants to build at Old Trafford. And United are confident of landing Wharton next summer in a £70million deal.

isn't that great that we are finally scoring goals via set pieces?

once upon a time, we hardly score through any corners or fk we won, almost as good as not getting them in the first place.
This is 1 of the few things Amorim got it right. Improve on scoring from set pieces. Also need to improve on defending set pieces. Man Utd had been known for allowing opponents to score from corners. Free kicks may be harder to defend.

Against Palace, United were terrible in the first half before then improving; however, this isn’t a new phenomenon for the Red Devils under Amorim.

United have been good in one half, bad in the other all season, as evidenced by throwing away games against Nottingham Forest, Tottenham, and almost losing a 3-0 lead to Brighton.

This isn’t sustainable for United going forward, and whether it is a mental issue or a system issue, Amorim needs to fix it.

Interestingly, Baleba failed to impress against United in a match many considered an audition. In contrast, midfield target Elliot Anderson was superb against United during the 2-2 draw at the City Ground.

Wharton ended up on the losing side against United, but there was still plenty to like about his performance.

As per SofaScore, Wharton boasted an 82% pass completion rate, and he won five of his seven duels in midfield.

With United and Palace lining up in identical 3-4-3 formations, Wharton often found himself in a one-vs-one situation against Casemiro in midfield – the man he would likely replace if he joined United.

This season, the Brazilian has been rejuvenated and, if anything, United have been over-reliant on Casemiro in midfield.

Against Palace, Casemiro actually got the better of Wharton in midfield, taking 65 touches of the ball (18 more than Wharton).

He matched Wharton’s seven ball recoveries, won more duels (7/15), completed more interceptions and dribbles, and had fewer unsuccessful touches.

Wharton lost to Casemiro in the midfield battle.

Special mention to the JoshuaZ goal, absolutely unexpected and what a hit! Considering how he was just ambling along for large parts of the first half, it came as a real surprise. Hope this unlocks his scoring boots and create some healthy competition between him and BenjaminS.

Penalty is a penalty, and LenyY will learn from this. Could see he was extremely disappointed with himself.

Not the first time MatthijsDL slipped while turning to track an opponent, either he needs to change his boots or he needs to change his positioning. Thought that was a goner, and that last dtich tackle by LukeS was so important. Looks like he might well be making a solid claim to the LCB position.

So 2 goals from 2 unexpected scorers via set pieces, away from home, happy with the 3 points. Still a below-par first half though. Everyone's saying it was Palace who tired in the 2nd half, which allowed us to capitalise. True or not, doesn't matter, a win's a win.

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up one of Brazil's most promising defenders, 17-year-old Luis Eduardo. The young talent has attracted attention from several top European clubs following his performance in the Under-17 World Cup last month.

Spanish publication AS has reported that the Brazilian captain's impressive speed has put clubs, including Manchester United, on high alert. The report suggests that Eduardo reached speeds of 38 km/h playing for Gremio U20 earlier this year.

It is said that both United and Chelsea have 'already done their homework and are trying to accelerate their pursuit'.

Moreover, it's reported that both clubs have already started negotiations with Gremio during the Under-17 World Cup, with offers expected in the coming weeks.

However, securing Eduardo's services may come at a significant cost, reports the Mirror.

Over the summer, the centre-back signed a new contract with Gremio that runs until 2028. As part of this deal, a £53million release clause was included, and it remains unclear whether United would be willing to meet this fee.

United have been focusing on signing young talents with the aim of nurturing them for first-team action. In recent years, they've brought in Chido Obi, Sekou Kone and Diego Leon to strengthen their future squad.

Zirkzee also acknowledged that he must continue to deliver while expressing gratitude for the support of United head coach Ruben Amorim during his struggles.

"It's one of the biggest clubs in the world and you have to perform," the Dutch forward added.

"If you don't score for a long time, it can get to you, but I'm surrounded by great players, great people, so we help each other every day. They made it quite easy for me.

"Today was just a reward I think for patience, hard work, trying to be consistent, and I'm just thankful to them, the manager as well, staff, everyone. [It's] a good environment."

There has been talk of a potential January exit for Zirkzee after struggling for regular game time this season. Roma have been alert to his situation at the club, while Sevilla and West Ham have previously been linked.

His starts against Everton and Palace were his first of the campaign, however, coming after summer signing Cunha sustained an injury in training.

Zirkzee's played well in the 2nd half against Crystal Palace. He will have more playing time when Mbeumo & Amad leave for the AFCON games. If he peformed well he will be able to stay. If he failed to perform he may have to leave during the summer transfer next yr.
