Manchester United will complete a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers’ forward Matheus Cunha next week, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims Cunha is “set to join” the Red Devils at the end of the season with the last round of Premier League fixtures taking place this weekend.

Cunha is reported to be keen on the switch to Old Trafford and is undeterred by the prospect of United not competing in any European competition next season.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Newcastle United had also been interested in the 25-year-old forward, who has scored 15 goals and provided six assists for his side this season.

The report states, “despite interest from other clubs, Cunha wants to play for United and Sky Sports News has been told the deal is almost agreed.”

And it appears this is the case for Cunha who is set to become United’s first signing of a pivotal transfer window this summer.

Former Spurs and Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy reckons Fernandes is the “only player” on either side who “can create magic”.

The players who turn up for the finals are usually the youngsters, namely Garnacho and Mainoo who were the standouts during last season's FA cup final.

Fernandes had a terrific game though, but not sure if he will succumb to the pressure or stand tall for a European final.
