If only 40 shares, can't apply for excess then don't get the rights. Odd lot have to sell separately, don't know how tiger charge for that, maybe you can check.
That's why for long term, link to CDP better.

No idea if tiger support odd lots for SG stocks, only HK stocks can.
Their normal buy and sell is in multiples of 1 lot (100 shares)
