After payout, need -0.05 to MII NAV Price. Sell after payout most likely might get 8.xx NAV Price.

I might sacrifice getting the payout.

I will look into it in depth first. Thanks.

Okie, just sold at a loss, and dump some in MISE

Usually after all time low it will bounce back slightly. Takes some time. But mid term wise MII will continue to drop. CME Fed fund futures pricing in 2 rate hikes in 2026. There is also a slight uptick in interest rates for USD Fixed Deposits since June.

Just have a cooling off period first. Park in low volatility funds like MISP first. MISE seems good now but if the market turns then bang balls again.

STI rise to 55XX in such a short time reaching 52 week high will not have a good ending. Not much upside but a lot of downside risks. RSI on monthly chart indicates overbought. Nothing moves in a straight line. The Asian tech pullbacks since last week is a good example.

When the pullback comes many will chua sai again. If and when STI is back at 5000pts it will be safer to enter. To me STI is still rubbish. Relying only on 3 big banks to pump the index. The rest of the counters all cannot make it. LOL.

The difference is leverage. Most of the korean semis and alot of the US-listed AI/Semis are bought with (plenty of) leverage so it amplifies volatility but also bouts of margin calls and forced selling. There’s also short selling plus a mature options market adding more volatility to the mix.

for sgx “contra” was popular in the 80s/90s which saw alot of regular folks losing money. These days margin trade in sgx is more controlled and there is a near total absence of short selling or options. So volatility will be much lower.

the narrative for sgx is “safe haven” but government stimulus is the invisible hand here (and an open secret). So the general trend should be gently upward sloping to finally catch up on the decade-odd of “loss returns” compared to other markets.

What make you think short sell is near total absence? It is still very much alive. From poems time sales you see the Auction type transaction before SGX open 0900 you know force selling liao.

I already exited this morning. Hopefully it will rise tonight to reduce my losses. All the Mari products are not doing well.
US10Y now at 4.65%. 240726 MII NAV Price will rise. At least the losses are reduced.

I also sell all MII before cutoff time earlier today.

My final total return of MII should be around SGD 600+.

Actually it may be better for the Fed to hike rates ASAP.
The current treasury yields are already pricing in 1-2 rate hikes and all the uncertainty is bad for bonds.

They can pump all they want into the 3 big but majority are just rubbish counters. 🤣

I burnt in earlier in March, now again, thinking it will get better.

Me too. Sometimes nvr learn. Always forget.

No worries you all not alone. Look at the USA stocks thread those familiar faces there play US stuff like traders think they got win and lose just like you all. The timing of their post indicate they gamble big in US stocks. Experience tell me such tactics is big win big loss. They cannot go for dividends play becuz you need a lot of shareholding to generate a monthly payslip income. Wonder they want to play such games until age 55 and beyond?

Which day of MII will have the dip after including payout? Say july 31st is payout cut off 29th. Price for 32st will drop because of payout or 29th will drop

Only recoup 0.01 from the previous day. Kena burnt twice, will not want to dabble with this fund again.

MII is on a down trend. Jump off this sinking ship when you can.

Will have to tank capital loss just to get 4% p.a. ROI via payouts. And that is if it doesn't dip steeper. No thanks.

The trend has changed since Feb 2026. 2025 was a good year for MII no doubt.
