My return on paper for Income is about 0.9% for the first month, as I have just started on this fund. I plan to buy regularly, regardless of price fluctuations, to lower the average cost of the fund in the event of price volatility. There is no way we can predict the price pattern. The drop in interest may benefit this fund. The regular monthly payout will also help to hedge against a price fall, if it does happen.

"Dollar cost averaging (DCA) is an investment strategy where a fixed amount of money is invested at regular intervals, such as monthly, regardless of market conditions. This approach mitigates the risk of investing a lump sum at the wrong time by buying fewer shares when prices are high and more shares when prices are low, effectively lowering the average cost per share over time. DCA also helps remove emotions from investment decisions and provides a disciplined way to build long-term wealth." Quoted from Investopedia

tbh i think that's the general expectation of the fund. nav is supposed to decrease and hedged against the 6%ish dividend payout. that's why this fund historically net around 4% pa

maybe rate cuts will help cause nav to continue going up. but long term this type of double digit % pa growth is not sustainable

Let's say Market tank. Let's say la, touch wood. Will this be affected? Now every market looks ATH. Not sure if this Pimco is sensitive to stock market shock or not..

Yeah I'm trying to sit still to watch the video again. It seems it is sensitive to USD rise and falls as it is a US biased portfolio. USD exposure is 97%.

Bonds are sensitive to interest rates. The NAV dropped when the Fed hike the rates.

My guess why the NAV is climbing is everyone anticipated Fed rate cuts this quarter.
I guess ultimately what drives this fund is interest rates and USD. OK. I'll just put a little and see how it goes.
