Golden cross coming...... HUAT!!!!!

When the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, it's called a golden cross. This is a bullish signal in technical analysis, suggesting a potential uptrend in price. Conversely, when the 50-day moving average crosses below the 200-day moving average, it's known as a death cross, which is a bearish signal indicating a potential downtrend.

The adage says, sell in May and go away? I wonder if who spoke about this? Seems never correct?

Last time yes. Cos the traders will sell before going on summer break.

But nowadays got 24H trading. Market don't sleep. Also retail investors are now very big.
Part of it I think is how bitcoin and these AI stocks have made a lot of retail very very rich.

Meanwhile institution is struggling. Now trade platforms cannot charge commissions. How to earn money like that?

Banks give so little interest only can earn from mortgages. But for years mortgage rates were so low also.

Changing times.

absolutely.
The traditional model of managed funds no longer works anymore. The returns are way too small and it is very hard to outperform the index.

What I find makes more sense is investing in the actual business itself.

Most banks and institutions now make much of their money from trading and the options market. Writing calls and puts for the traders.
