MARKET DATA CHANGE FOR non-pro IB users

Just receive the Email for Interactive Brokers clients. Whats your plan after they terminate the $10 bundle.

If i just get say NYSE and NASD quotes, shld be more than enuff to have NBBO, and somemore only $3/mth, savings of $7/mth assuming i dont hit the $30 fees.

Not getting the new U.S.Value Bundle since i dont need the bottom list of items for now..

What do u think ?

Just getting the NYSE (and NYSE Arca, because that's where the liquidity is in ETFs) is a really good idea if you're just buy-and-holding - I'm going to start recommending that.

Don't forget, even if you don't have every exchange's feed, the broker is still required to fill you at the NBBO, so you won't miss out on anything.

I think for me the new regime actually works out cheaper because CME Level 1 quotes are now part of the bundle, which is nice.

ty shiny, couldnt decide between NYSE / ARCA / NASD which 2 better of the 3, cos i thought NASD more electronic trades maybe better pricing. sure will go with ur recommendation, saving some monthly $ during my inactive periods.

If not wrong, it's AMEX exchange and not ACRA.
If choosing 2 out of 3 (AMEX, NYSE, NASDAQ), then can safely drop AMEX since there are less then 400 stocks affected.

Oh derp - yeah, you're absolutely right, the third one is Amex not Arca. In that case - yeah, NYSE + NASDAQ (or even just NYSE) would be plenty if you just need an indicative price for something, whether it's a stock or an ETF.
