Wrong. They have always been in and out of Singapore since a long time ago. In the early 2000s already have a few outlets. Like a member here said at Sims Avenue near Aljunied MRT used to have one.

How does it taste like?

Typical fried chicken that you defrosted.
The meat is not moist.
The taste did not WOW me.

it was good 3+ years ago but their standards been dropping over the years. Tried it recently, not nice anymore
