Maybe the term Retire is not really a good word. To me, retire doesn't mean stop working. Shared in first post, simply means stop working for the sole sake of earning money and to pursue passion which doesn't earn money while having the money to feed you as you pursue the passion.

I view it as don't need to work for money and commitment as semi retitement. Is like a social connections and interactions.

Wow, but not mafan IF just go to Registry of Marriage ($42 for the Legal Cert.) and you are legally married.
Some household have many children/nephews/nieces marrying in the same years, will only be grateful NOT TO BE Invited to more than 1 banquet per year. Marrying is your own family matters nowadays! Banquets too expensive nowadays, such that some just call for better family buffets and the usual door gifts.
Of course if that family only has one kid marrying off, then will be keen to show off/entertain a bit.
