Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct place for this thread, but can I get some feedback on those who had experience with buying from massdrop before?

i.e shipping time, experiences with DOA, how to deal with DOAs, warranty claims etc..

shipping is around 2.5-3week. warranty can read the description, some is handle by massdrop while some is handle direct by the manufacturer.

Depends on the items purchased. Some can go as long as 4 weeks to 6 weeks. Just like keycaps.

Some can be as short as 2 weeks to 3 weeks.

I have made 4 purchases from Massdrop...

As per rest of the bros, delivery can take awhile, in my experience 2 to 4 weeks from end of drop date.

No DOAs for my items so far.

If purchase value >SGD$500 need to pay customs taxes?

Another question..

I tried using paypal, the total cost of usd$376 became sgd$550. This is above bank exchange rate of 1.4230. Does paypal use a worse exchange rate?

1.42 is good rate for now. Yes PayPal is charging at 1.45 and above.

And yes tax is inccured if you ship anything more than $400 SGD inclusive of shipping value.

Depends on how it goes.

If sender absorb the gst, they will pay on your behalf.

If not the bill will only come after a few days max 2 weeks later.

In this case for massdrop you will need to fork out the gst.

I dunno how different the system is now, but in the past (2-3 years back) I did have one above $400 package come through without attracting GST. Invoice everything properly declared on box, but didn't tio. So I thought back then it was random check... some heng suay involved. Dunno if it's every package now.
