Apple creates their own 16-digits card ID when you load your MasterCard into iPhone. This new 16-digit ID will be your payment gateway when you tap for payments. You realized that whenever you paywave with Apple Pay, the 16-digit card number printed on receipts are exactly the one issued by Apple.

IF you are able to decipher the 16-digits card ID issued by Apple, i am 90% confident that you will be able Apple tap (with MasterCard) from your phone after registering the Apple generated 16-digit card ID @ Transitlink ABT. Because the GTM machines at MRT station actually reads my Apple Pay, displaying "Bank Card Not Supported" message.

I'm sure there are geniuses out there who can easily crack their own 16-digit MasterCard number issued by Apple and give it a shot.

I can only think of 3 methods:
1. Use a NFC device/dongle to read Apple Pay.
2. Use a credit card terminal (with admin access) to read Apple Pay.
3. Those who have ez-link USB card reader at home can try waving. You never know if it reads Apple Pay too! haha

The virtual card number can be obtained easily, however, using it for the TransitLink ABT system won't work. While registering your card, the website requires you to enter the CVV code for a virtual card number. So you're stuck with the card.

Got error when u tap out? You can file a claim if you are charged more than expected

happened to me once.
There was an error when alighting- the driver told me to scan at the entrance side and again at the exit. I merely did what I was told (without realizing that the error was due to using an unused card to alight).
Once I realized the cause, I wrote in to transitlink and was able to claim back some money:D

I don't think you can actually get your virtual card number. What Asphodeli is trying to say is that even if you could, there isn't a CVV number.

Just use a credit card app on any android nfc phone. Still cvv cannot be read so you currently can't register this card to abt.

There is no link between what you say and lack of cvv. What is missing is not how to retreive the PAN (what you call cc number)and expiry date, but there is no way to get the cvv to register your card to abt. Cvv is the 3 digits printed behind a plastic credit card.
If transitlink changes their way to register a new card without the need of cvv, any virtual card could be registered and used at the gate.

You can get it, by the same way you can get it from any contacless card.

The process time is indeed longer than normal ez-link. You need to place the card on the control station gantry for like 2 sec.

Little longer to tap is ok with me.

POSB/DBS/Citi have been waiving the auto top up fee since like forever. Why use any other bank's card for Ezreload?

anyone successfully switched to Bank Mode for SCB Unlimited Cashback card?

tried today but no option at the GTM to switch to Bank Mode, unlike Manhattan, Everyday cards

only option was to activate EZ Reload. Not sure is it bcos must activate EZ Reload first, then can switch to Bank Mode ?
