The system really not transparent enough. They should show the amount of fare after we tap out. Always show, "Bank card used" " Have a nice day". Hard to keep track my transport fee, if wrong fare calculation, we also don't know.

Once I did two transfers and the Middle trip was a long journey. When I checked on the website the next day, only the first and third trip was reflected. As the time between the first and third trip were more than the transfer allowance, they were recorded as two separate trips. A few days later, when the Middle trip was updated, it was recompiled and treated as one trip.

So, I think the way it works is different from Ezlink card. The reader will store the data of the card first. At the end of the day, it will be transmitted to ABT server and they will put all the data together to compute the fare.

Yes this is probably how it works. As usual w SG Systems (like taxi fare) it's overengineered. Most other markets it's a flat fee or dependent on "zones"

I've used ABT since the first day of pilot launch and faced no problems with bus and MRT. Even used my mastercard to tap when travelling to JB on 170 and back with no issue.

Hopefully the system supports mobile payments soon.

I rather u should go n find out why your card doesn't work than just causally comment that it is a scam. How can it be a scam when so many banks are promoting ABT? Comment with responsibility, mate.

Ask SCB to send you a replacement card with paypass if you don't have Unlimited card.

Yours is the old manhattan card. Get the new one, can get $20 cashback (coz is new card), and take advantage of the fast track SPG gold status (for World Mastercards)
