Hi guys,

Need some input , currently i have a damn huge case that is an eyesore to me.

i5-3470/B75MDGS
7850 MSI Hawk

I'm thinking to get the RVZ01. To hide behind my screen so that I dont have a huge and chunky CPU Case.

If i reuse the old CPU and get a new ITX motherboard.
Is it better then if i sell the current one and get the pentium g haswell series?

I don't intend to play anymore games. More like a HTPC.

Perhaps you can just sell your graphics card and fund for the new chassis.

Can consider Jonsbo C2. Im using it now with the same motherboard as yours. Small but fat @ appx 12 litres.

I did think of that. But GPU offer is around 100. Case plus PSU around 200 :( So I'm quite torn on what to do. Maybe just suck it up. Wait 2 more years something spoilt. Change the whole thing.

Thanks for the suggestion :)

For case, can look at Thermaltake Core V1. Only $75 n can fit tower coolers. Available at Mynextcom as I can't find at sls

LesterQ you have to get your facts right
let me explain

You KEEPING
CPU: i5-3470

REPLACING
Mobo: B75MDGS

You can't use this one because at this point of time you can only get LGA1150 motherboard in SLS and yours' CPU is LGA1155

Get your facts right before telling people facts are wrong.

1155 will be replaced by 1150. But there are still there in SLS. Not many. But there are still some left in SLS.

if this is the case, you can look at jonsbo V2 or U1. it design for normal home use chassis without expansion slot and it is cheap than TT V1 and CM 110 when bundle with a 300W PSU

storage wise it can mount 2 x 2.5". how many you want, because H series itx motherboard only have 4 SATA normally, if is B itx motherboard then have many SATA

If going for mITX: Antec ISK110 VESA @ 3-4 litres
If salvaging mATX: In Win BL series @ 11.5 litres

Hmm seems like I will need to do more research on the size of my seemingly itx cases.

I'll go see the links and then decide again
Salvaging matx and getting an matx case seems like a plausible choice because my current case is a atx with matx board.

I'll only use maximum 3 sata ports. So H61 is enough.

And yes. Simlim definitely has the mitx lga1155 boards. I've check price lists before thinking about making the transfer. Thanks guys :)

I've just went through the same dilemma as u. In the end I bought new itx motherboard with new cpu. I figured out that might as well buy new gen cpu and motherboard seems more worth it.

I bought Thermaltake core v1 too. It's big enough to fit in the graphic cards and rooms to arrange the cables.

i've been switching around itx cases for the fun of it. Here's my 250D n elite130. 250D was easy to build as cables and components were in separate compartments.

elite130 slightly harder but still alright. abit noisier too due to front vents.

if u don't mind, will add pics for other cases to this thread in future.

Thanks for the matx suggestion. It'll be a good size downgrade just from atx to matx..

Bitfenix prodigy maybe. Haha.

Can the 250D withstand it, if I put the swans sub on it. Or will the swans be able to take the weight of the 250D lol.
