Why will you still want to store data on DVD-Rs? Thumbdrives/external SSDs/HDDs are the way to go.

I am using Maxell 4.7GB DVD-R in which I bought these DVDs from my regular supplier at Z-nix Trading Pte. Ltd. at 6th Storey#06-63, SLS besides the Lift Lobby.

Maybe the recipient has no internet connection/ poor internet connection?

Anw, you just assumed he's using to store data
If you look at his post history he actually says that he sells DVDs, so he's probably just trying to source them on customer demand.

It's useful for archiving stuff. DVDs can last for a few years.
