Wanna check what is the maximum RAM i can upgrade on this notebook PC?

Saw that there is this 4GB on chip RAM. The user manual only says how to install the RAM into the free slot, but never say what is the maximum the notebook PC can go... TIA!

You have the notebook already? I remember this notebook already has 4GB soldered onto the motherboard with only 1 slot for additional ram. So maximum you can add is a stick of 8GB?

Yeap, is on-chip RAM... I am worried that it can't support 12GB RAM in total... And if so, I buy new 8GB RAM to add in, might not work

Got any link for the Challenger upgrade?
Processor can support that much, but motherboard may be the limitation.

Unfortunately i don't have a link. Heard this from a salesperson. when buying the notebook from them, they can upgrade for an additional fee. But honestly I think the only limitation of the motherboard is the number of slots.

Thanks a lot!

Before I went to sim lim today, I was very sure I wanted an 8GB upgrade... Then I heard got this 1.5v and 1.35v etc, and the salesperson cautioned me to check whether the motherboard can support 4+8GB RAMs...and I got worried hahaha

Should be 1.35V DDR3L. Since Ivy Bridge n Haswell days, most laptops are using DDR3L already. Unless your laptop is old, like 5 years ago.

Anyway the right RAM type n max capacity can be found on notebook specs page on its manufacturers web site.

Edit: just confirmed RAM type is
DDR3L 1600(O.C.) MHz SDRAM

I already searched up and down the Internet. If I can find the max capacity from the website and manual, I won't be asking here.
