it depends v much on the promotion. when the coe was super high last yr, at 1 time toyota offered 5 yrs warranty n 5 yrs free servicing (both parts n labour included!!).

Noob here but what does it means by COE rebate at $50k?

What happens if the COE is $49k vs $51k?

If COE is 49K, the dealer will rebate 1K to you. If COE is 50K or above, dealer top up but that depend on whether 50K is grantee or non grantee package.

The dealer don top up. The dealer sells to you car + $60K COE. If COE drops to $50K, the dealer pocket extra $10K profit.
Buyers who bought 6 bids earlier and paid for $70K COE. So you can see how much profit dealers can make if COE hit $50K within 6 biding sessions.

sometime AD will top up that 1k or 2 for non guarantee coe rebate... see if the AD want to close ur deal or not.

This is because dealers were busy fulfilling the $75K-COE buyers who bought even earlier. These buyers get priority as they are into their 5th or 6th bid and margin is the fattest.

Hmmm to check whether if you are still in backlog... for those who bid your coe successfully... You can go to ONE.MOTORING - Home to see what your coe bid at and what series number u at...etc. If not u have not get Ur coe unless ad assign u open cat...

Seems like the AD has a number of open cat 65k coe on hand.. imagine was offered new vios to drive away at 97k!

Rite now buy new car is more worth than buying 2nd hand cars!!

2nd hand car price will also come down accordingly, peg to COE. but then again, if you have been planning to buy 2nd hand <3 yr car and willing to top up, must as well go for new car..

correct. many ppl has confused that the COE Rebate Level is the (max) COE included in the price/deal!

儍儍... obviously u dunno how Open Cat COE works. there is no gain for buyer in this case, once it registered for Vios, it becomes $60,002!!!

sorry i really dunno how open cat works.
but from what you said, it means if i successfully get a Open Cat COE at 65k and i am getting a Cat B car then i only pay: 65k + Cat B car price?
