Hi. I am wondering if anyone tried spending $500 on the visa platinum using Cardup can count towards unlocking the spend category of the saveup program though cannot fulfill the cashback requirement?

yes, its counted as long as eligible ( and Maybank is one of the least restrictive cards )

Moreover, the minimum to qualify for cashback (on quarterly basis ) is $300, so no reason not to double dip if you are in Save Up

Thanks for the reply. Ya, interested to open Save up account and thinking how to also get the cashback from the spending as well.

Not good for users like me who use Insurance (1k) and Cardup (1k) to hit the monthly $2K tier...... looks like i'll be stopping usage of this card after the Jun cycle as there's no way I can hit $1400 in general spending outside of these categories.

any idea what other cards still count insurance as eligible spend for cashback?

I am using this to earn tier2 cashback, insurance 50% (max $500) and others 50% (min $500). If no other card then I will have to increase others to $700
(only discovered this nerf today and my July spending was hurt...)
