Patiently waiting for the 1 to 1 exchange.
Dear Wingust,
Not confirm yet. i will fight for you guys..
Patiently waiting for the 1 to 1 exchange.
The PCE-AC66U adapter can't work for my Haswell computer and apparently, it's not working well for my older Ivy computer either.
At times, it was working fine. But at other times, it does not get detected by my Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H MB. I tried different PCI 1X slots and the problem persisted. I had to switch on the com and if it is not detected, shut it down, physically remove the adapter from the slot and plug it back it, switch on the com again and pray and keep repeating for a few times before i can get it to work.
Anyone experiencing this problem? Honestly, I'm starting to be pissed off by this product. I'm hoping for it to be exchanged for the PCE-AC68 soon (don't wish to be going to Avertek so many times as it is not near my house).
Dear Asus@SG, please fight hard so as not to disappoint so many of the bros here! And chase them for it (it's getting late)!
Does anyone have any status on the 1-to-1 exchange? I'm planning to buy the PCI-e AC66 because thats the only AC variant available but I'm using a Z87 board, if I buy it now would I be eligible for an exchange?
Any updates?
Almost end of oct already.![]()
Hi Maylyn.. any update on the review?
I am keen to try out the AC68 router and this PCI-E card but the online reviews have been pretty conflicting on results, mostly on connectivity issues.
Is it safe to buy now or should we wait till firmware stabilises? By that time maybe a new version would be out too!
Update on which review? if you are referring to the newly launched ASUS PCE-AC68, there should be a review pending on my collection of my ASUS PCE-AC68 and give it a run. I was told that the Broadcom 256QAM is working (i.e. 2.4GHz @ 600Mbps)
As for the ASUS RT-AC68U, as it's newly launched and since it based on the ARM new architecture, there is bound to have some kinks along the way, more importantly it's the turnaround time from ASUS and they do listen hard. That's why people loves their ASUS routers. No networking makers out there have posted as many firmware updates for new features, fixes as frequently as ASUS.
Thirdly, ASUS got the full support from RMerlin for those whom want more![]()
Is it advisable to buy pce ac66 now?
Been posting at market place to buy a brand new or used one but seems like no one have it haha
Hey, thanks for responding. Was referring to the PCE-AC68.
I own a N66 at the moment and will likely shift to RT-AC68U in time to come (understand it will take some time), but want to settle the computer side first, hence the query. Makes no sense to buy a non-AC wifi card first.
I noted in the first page that you didn't really review the PCE-AC66, and took it that AC68 will be the one to review, hence my question here.. I think they should be somewhat similar, so if you have no issues on AC66, AC68 should get resolved in time.
Bought my first Asus router based on your review also, so your word does have weight. If you think PCE-AC68 should have no issues (or at least resolvable), I'm happy to get one first. Importantly, at least it should run standard 5ghz wifi without issues (no need AC for time being).
I also own a EA-N66 but having something internal should work better for me for some other reasons.
