It's for my Sister , actually told her to Wait for the new mbp but even the non touchbar one is Too ex. So looking at the MBA 13 going at $1258 student price. I5 processor. 8gb ram. Any advice

do ask her check what she is going to use the laptop for.

if the course require her to do at least medium video editing/photoshop then a mbp pro 13 would be a better alternative
