MBP Apple Care needed?

My 1 year warranty about to expire this coming 17th November, Then when I open my MBP last night it flashes world/globe icon scared me a bit online forum says its normal.

But with my warranty about to expire should I get the Apple Care that is worth 300-400 SGD? I'm not planning on upgrading my MBP late 2016 soon but not sure if I'll wait for another 2 years coz I might get new model next year 2018.

If you're sure you're going to upgrade next year no need. But for me that usually use for at least 3 years, is a must.
