MBP Boot Issues

My 2010 MBP cant boot up and hang at the progress bar (30%) area.

I cant go into Safe mode or the CMD R mode. I used a OSX installer on a thumb drive and also not successful. I also replace the RAM to other pieces too.

So I decided to take out the HDD and put on a external enclosure. I connect the enclosure to my Mac Mini and boot from MM. It does work and confirm that the MBP HDD is ok. I do the usual Repair just to be sure and extract out essential files.

I also tried a new HDD onto the MBP and it cant boot up too.

in this case, is this a motherboard issue to be the likely cause? Typically how much to replace MB if done with 3rd party repairers.

Try booting in verbose mode (CMD-V). The boot messages during boot up might give a clue about what the Mac might be stuck at.

if motherboard spoil its going to be very costly. Probably not worth repairing.

I tried and no success too. I already use a totally fresh HDD and try to install OSX from thumb drive also cant work.

More likely is a software issue. Some software corruption that caused it unable to boot up fully to 100%.

can i try it? i also think it is a software problem which should not be mobo problem if you can get 30% of the bar.

some 2010/2011 mbp are quite particular with the ram, even tested good, the ram might not be able to install and you could get a essentials.pkg error. do you still have the original ram with the mbp? if not, i can lend you mine to try

I have gotten a used MBP with same specs and now posting from it after I swap the HDD over.

So its not a software nor HDD issue. I might bring to repair shop to see what it is the cause if under 400 I will repair.

My next task is to use my synology to reduce down the usage on my mbp 1TB HDD and cut it to under 512G so I can get a new MBP. First thing first is to move iTunes library over asap!

have the same problem as u only mine s a MacBook from 2009.

hdd is not the issue also.....

but i can boot into other modes w/o problems... which can't resolves anything...

just can't can't seem to boot normally.
