MBP can't turn on

Hi, would like to check what is the possible cause of the unable turn on mbp?

The magsafe LED won't lit on when plug in and I can't turn on the mbp as well.

High chance ur MBP battery has flat out and your power adaptor is faulty causing it not able to charge your MBP properly.

Try to wiggle the MagSafe connector a bit, perform an SMC reset and test ur MBP with another power adaptor and another Mac with your power adaptor to isolate further.

If you don't have the option to test another Mac or power adaptor, bring it to an AASP for them to test and advice.

There's also a chance that the MagSafe connector on your MBP is faulty and needs replacing.

Ok finally able to revive the macbook. Apparently the macbook shut itself off when 3rd party usb cable was plugged in.

If someone experience the same issue... Just remove the battery cable and leave it for few minutes. Do a SMC reset does help sometimes as in my case.

I guess if I ever send to QCD for checking they will happily charge me few hundred for part repair which in fact none of the parts are damaged.

Well done in fixing it yourself - what battery cable you referring to, the only battery cable i know on a macbook pro is inside the mac itself and requires you to remove the bottom case?

No lah, i don't think AASP are that bad lei.

They cannot perform repairs if the the parts suspected is a KGB(Known Good Board). Apple will not accept it unless a force replacement exception is granted.

Hi yes. That's the battery cable.

My bad on the AASP as i heard lot of bad cases on them.

Not really dare to try out unless out of choice.
