MBP Optical Drive Blocked!

Anyone encountered this before? The optical drive was blocked but there was no disc inside.

I got it serviced once due to the same issue, it was a mechanical defect, where the cd drive has a metal arm that is hinged up and blocking the slot and the person helped me push it back down.

However, my warranty is over and I'm afraid to DIY on my own. :( Any suggestions/help?
