MBP w Touch bar late 2016 Issue

Hi all,

I have a mbp 13 inch touch bar late 2016/ early 2017 model. Yesterday night when I try to on it, it doesn’t startup at all. Thought maybe the batt is totally flat and plug in my adapter, still doesn’t start up...

I’m a careful person, so this mbp is definitely well taken care of, no drop/knock or water spilling whatsoever.

Appreciate some help here, thank in advance!

it maybe drained with battery? try leaving it plug for an hour or so then turn it on again..... its also possible its on sleep or hibernate mode when you left it.

suggestion is base on my issue before but older MBP model (I have same model as yours late 2016 MBP too)

Tried leaving it plugged for an hr++, still doesn’t help I’m beginning to think it’s an Apple product defect as my fren who bought the same model at the same time with me also have this problem. In the end Apple diagnose is screen problem and quoted $1k zzz

mine same model still working though but waa if someone quoted me 1k for repairs i might aswell buy new MBP lol

Now suspecting is motherboard spoil. Apple products nowadays really cannot be trusted liao. Pay the same price for the same product, but see heng suay. U suay u kena...

Nothing demanding, just Microsoft office, watching YouTube, hongkong/US drama, Spotify. Really a light user here. And a utterly disappointed Apple user here...

I'm still using my 2012 MBA also. e point is at least Apple gives users a choice to extend e warranty.

yeah they are different because they provide the option. i have worked with them on different settings a Long way when they first came to Asia.before the IFC Hong Kong store was open,untul now

By default 3 yrs warranty. And imo asus laptop more reliable as compared to Apple latest few mbp

If u have bought before an asus laptop during IT Show, u would have know that usually they increase their warranty to 2 + 1 year.

I see. 3 yrs but battery is only 1 yr. anyway looks like e trick is to buy during e IT show.

I have similar problem with my MBP 2016 with Touch Bar too. With apple care, the replacement of the screen is free which apple authorised service centre has found out after all tests are done.

Apple care is useful for MBP
