We should be thankful Mcd is offering wooden spoon instead of telling us to bring our own cutlery

The wooden fork like sai. Cannot poke anything. Wooden spoon too flat. Wooden knife cant cut for nuts. Stop phasing out useful plastics! Time to go back to cavemen era liao, more oily fingers and hands! Finish liao just wipe on clothes!
exactly.. we are asians.. just use hands... freaking hands... provide a water basin to wash hands.. den use hands eat.

McDonald's Singapore has retired its plastic cutlery.

According to a statement by McDonald's, it is making way for "sustainable" meal companions — wooden cutlery.

The transition is part of the fast food restaurant's "efforts towards sustainability" and to "do good for the planet".

Singapore customers have noticed the transition to wooden cutlery as early as October 2024.

McDonald's mentioned on its website's FAQ page that by switching to wooden cutlery, the chain aims to "reduce single-use plastics and minimise use of plastic packaging".

One of its FAQs added that the fast food chain will save an average of 125,000kg of plastic utensils annually by switching to wooden cutlery.

Thus far, its switch to strawless lids have saved 19 million pieces of plastic straws a year, McDonald’s stated.

So wooden means more trees cut which leads to deforestation. How's to sustain ?

Dun forget the humble disposable chopsticks! Ever seen some Asian tourists using chopsticks to eat fries and hotcakes before.

Why not just use hands.. no need kill trees too.
I hate eating with hands.

KFC used to provide stainless forks and knifes, with table setup. but apparently, Singaporeans don't know how to use them. They used the fork as a fork (correct) but the knife as if it were a spoon. In the end, KFC let them eat with their hands.
