Hi guys,

I got some questions to ask, hope you more experienced lao jiaos got something that might help me :)

I recently just went for medical checkup and I have ocd . It was already in their database from my previous checkup . However now I am not on medication and not going back to the doctor anymore and am well with no more issues. I really do hope that I will be given a chance to experience army normally . The previous time they gave me a pes c9l9 .

I asked the mo during this recent checkup and he discussed it with another mo and I heard them say something about putting the case as p . I read on the forums before that its psychatric or something but I cant find that article anymore so I dont know what this means . The mo said that I will be called back to see psy mo and thats when I will be given a pes status and not even a chance to say plead my case before they give me a pes status . I guess that will mean that they will base it on my medical report from my doctor.

I was wondering if I should go back to the doctor before he writes the report and ask him if he can write me a good report so they might give me a pes b2 at least ..

However im worried that if I go back to the doctor now as I am over 21 it might leave a record that I visited a psychologist as an adult . Also that the mo might be concerned why I went back . Does anyone know if medical reports include the last date patient visited ?

Also would this affect my future on finding jobs ? Will employers be able to know about my medical records ?

Hope you guys can help me out with what to do .. thanks in advance . I understand many people think c9l9 is great cus its relax . But I do have an interest in the uniform careers. Once again thank you very much in advance :)

I don't think pleading without any doctor to back you up got any use.

I don't see why can't you go back to your own doctor to convince him that you are fine. But then again, your doctor will have to evaluate whether he himself would take the risk to certify that you are "fit" because if anything happen to you, or you did something, he himself might get into trouble. It's a medical report, it's not some performance grade, so I don't see why is there "good" and "bad" report.

Anyway, I tell you, I think you will regret and suffer more if you are to be given a PES B2. PES B2 is like really the not here not there PES. I think you can fulfil more stuff being a PES C or below than a PES B2 unless you get a PES B1.

It depends on what the MO put in the medical report right? But I am pretty sure the medical report will be dated, so based on inference, I think it's pretty much for sure when you go to see the doctor. Regardless, there will definitely be a record of you visiting the doctor.

Medical records are Medical In Confidence. I don't think they will know unless you tell them. However, if they specifically ask whether you have any kind of medical condition, it is a fireable offence and an integrity issue if you lie about it.

To be honest, I think if you have a past record of medical illness, your chances of having a career in uniform may not be that high even if you are of a "combat fit" PES now.

But isnt it different if I dont go back to the doctor the last record of my visit will be some time ago and not when im above 21 ? I know the report will be dated but thats a report not a record of my visit mah . Im afraid if I go back to tell the doctor of my intentions and ask for his help in writing a good report it will be considered that i still saw the doctor above 21 . Is there anh difference between child record and adult record ? Will an adult record be worse than a child record ? Also do you happen to know if medical records state the last visit date ? Thanks so much .

I don't get the first part of your question. What do you by "But isn't it different if I don't go back to the doctor the last record of my visit will be some time ago and not when I'm above 21"? You want to go back to your own doctor to get a report right? Wouldn't that be recorded as a visit?

If you need to go and see your doctor to get a report, wouldn't that be counted as a visit?

I don't think anybody can tell u whether it's true or not, but if it's me, I see it as a visit regardless of the intention. To be honest, unless someone knows what's going on during the visit, I am pretty sure the conclusion will be the same and that's you saw the doctor.

I dunno if there's a difference. But a medical history is a medical history. Maybe.

Depends on whether your doctor writes it? But I feel that the medical report date is very telling. I don't see how u can spin it in such a way that your medical report is written many many years after you last saw your doctor. Don't see how the doctor can give a impartial and accurate opinion of your condition when he writes it.

What I mean is that the mo has requested a medical report from my doctor . I do not have to go down to see my doctor or anything . But I was wondering if I go down on my own accord and ask my doctor to help me write a better report if that would be helpful . But if I were to go down then it would be recorded as a visit and I am over 21 now . Because the mo will be making their decision based on the report . I asked the other time if I will be given a pes status when I meet the psy mo . The mo said yes . Meaning when I go to see the psy mo the pes will already have been given and they will just tell me only . So I feel that the doctors report is ver important .

But its the record of a visit after 21 thats bothering me . Im afraid that if I were to find job next time then people search my records they might see that I visited a psychologist after 21 . My perception is thag child records before 21 arent as important to people compared to adult records and they might not even look fornrecords before 21 years old ?

Thanks so much .

Helpful or not, only your doctor will know. But at least you get to plead and persuade your doctor which you wouldn't be able to if you didn't go visit him. Pretty sure your own doctor recommendation plays an important part.

Medical records are medical in confidence. Nobody can access it unless explicit instruction is given. But then again, I feel that it's the perception rather than the age that you visit a psychologist that makes a difference.

Some people may perceive that it's fine, some people may not. They may not care whether you visit when you are a child or when you are an adult. As long as there's a visit, they may care.

So you decide for yourself whether you want to take the risk/non-risk to try to get a report in your favour just because you want to try a combat fit NS for just 2 years of your life. As compared to the rest of your life for however long it maybe.

i don't think anybody can tell you for sure, without committing an offence, whether they can search for your records or not.

But maybe you can believe that public sector ain't as well integrated as you think they are.

This is just speculation. They maybe able to find records of your referral or visits to a certian medical institution. But I don't think they can ever see your medical records as they are medical in confidence.

Anyway if they really can't find anything, are you saying you are planning to lie about it if ask? You know this is an integrity issue and is a fire able offence?

I dont understand what you mean ? If I commit an offence they will be able to check ?
No.

You asking whether people can check..

I am telling you even if the PEOPLE can check, I don't think they can tell you if they can check it. If they tell you they can check it, they maybe committing an offence because they are not supposed to tell you in the first place.

Medical in confidence, no one can reveal ur medical records in anyway unless explicit permission is obtained from u.

when u apply for a job, some do ask for PES status, and maybe ask why u have that PES. But to reveal ur medical record is not allowed unless u allow them to do so
