Medishield GE exclusion

I just read thru my brother's shield plan that he has gotten from ge in 2009. He was excluded for 'adhesion' by the company as he had an operation for appendicitis and removal of meckels diverticulum somewhere in 2007.

He has no issue nor follow up required. Is there any company which can cover him fully without exclusion or can GE remove the exclusion? Pls advice

From my knowledge, usually all insurance company will exclude pre-existing condition by default. He should probably call up the agent he previously bought from and clarify with him if he undergoes a medical check now and the doctor declared him as clear, will they be able to remove the exclusion. Else, new medishield life launching in November will cover all pre-existing conditions by default

Yes, there is. Aviva is the only insurer in the market who can cover him fully without exclusion as he has no follow up or any medication within these 5 years. Cancellation would be a breeze as well since CPF will only based on the latest shield plan submission and overwrite the old plan. However, you have to be quick in making a decision before medishield life is implemented in Nov.
