Just got this last wkend and still dunno what is the Specification...but no issues with me.
Upon booting up, it shows 2400MHz ram and 16GB ram kit, double sided.
it is still an engineering sample from Geil...not in production yet.
What chipsets were used?
You guess! Hynix MFR?
Unable to pry open, not wanting to risk an DOA sample...test!
Gigabyte Z87X OC with Geil Evo Potenza.

3K posted, just having fun playing with the ram...but for realistic performance ratio to cost, go for 2400 to 2666MHz ram. Just started playing yesterday....
This set has its limitation, or maybe me, or the intel chip...but not bad to begin with.

Post your Overclocking 3K ram or more!

Cool!! but faster memory hardly benefit i5/i7

it doesn't benefit overall at this speed, ideally 2400 to 2600MHz performed better, lookout for latency Cl9 for 2400MHz speed and CL10 2666Mhz....until a better chipset comes along.
I am doing it just for thrilled at this speed and it wasn't stable at ALL.

none other than 2400MHz G.skill ram...at 3000MHz!!!

Trident X AB400 chipsets were using Hynix CFR. I was using it last year MAy 2012.

Exactly the same 400...so it was CFR.
There is another way to look under the heatspreader too.

Post here for info done at 5GHz 3K memory speed by Maxx40! He got a very good set of ram And CPU too...mine can do only at 4.9GHz.
Finally found time off work and my gundams model kits and make a quick 3k run. Using 2 sticks from the quad Avexir 2800 c12 kit (Hynix CFR). Voltage is around 1.85v from a multi meter.
Anyone know how to take the leds off the Avexir kits?
