can some advise me where to get 32Gb worth of ram for 5Kimac?
any brands or shop to recommend?

you probably can get a good deal in SITEX

Just make sure you get the correct spec of ram modules

1600MHz DDR3 memory; four SO-DIMM slots, user accessible
Configurable to 16GB or 32GB.

Brand wise I don't see much difference for RAMs in terms of performance, probably price-wise. Heard some feedback that Strontium is good but I haven't personally tested it.

Kingston for Mac will work fine.

Upgraded my 5K iMac by adding 16GB to existing 8GB. Works Great. Got them from Best Bargain.

yup, installed 8Gb (2x4Gb) of Kingston to complement the default 8Gb.
No problems and is working fine.

frankly speaking there is no significant improvement from 16gb -> 32gb.
OSX is a very optimised operating system and works very well even on 8Gb.
